The newly opened Wine Bar “Alla Stella Nera” (At the Black Star) is situated in the historical center of Prague, about 250 meters from the Charles Bridge and a few minutes walk from the Old Town Square. The Wine Bar is open everyday from 12.00 until midnight.
The building’s rich history as a centre of wine culture provides an aesthetic and atmospheric environment for stimulating cultural activities. The building, recorded in chronicles of the 14th Century, acquired its current Renaissance appearance around the beginning of the 17th century. In the 18th century Earl Bedrich Nostic- Rieneck inherited this house from his father and purveyed wine here.
The domestic sign of the Black Star, in the form of a wheel, indicates the cyclical nature of life and of events -perpetual turning and returning. In ancient symbolism the Black Star represented the Wheel of good Fortune. The House at the Blade Star is divided into different areas, which offers you a choice of styles and environments to complement with your mood and the size of your group.
Stella Nera frequently offer wine tastings – with or without live musical accompaniment, photo exhibitions and other cultural events.
In addition to a wide and interesting variety of Italian and French vintages, offerings include selected wines from the New World. Recommended domestic offerings are also available for your enjoyment. Alla Stella Nera serves a wide range of Italian specialties. The wine bar Alla Stella Nera serves, sophisticated platters to tempt the taste buds. All the platters have been designed to allow our customers to enjoy our wines to their fullest and offers helpful combination suggestions on menu. The specialties are – platters of famous Italian cheeses and Italian cold cuts. However, Stella Nera also serve salads, appetizers, famous French foie gras and of course delightful desserts.
