There are cities on various continents with direct flights to the Canaries, with an annual passenger flow of several million.
All of the islands have airports, where numerous companies operate, with daily flights to different geographical areas, whether international, domestic or local.
The average duration of a flight to anywhere in central Europe is some four hours, while it only takes two hours to reach mainland Spain. The demand for flights between the islands is also covered by fleets of local companies. These flights take some twenty or thirty minutes. There are also modern ferry companies providing services between the islands.

Carnival season in Canary Islands

Carnival season. End of January to the beginning of March Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Gran Canaria are caught up in a carnival whirl from the end of January until the middle of February.
