Disneyland Park – California Disneyland Vacation

California Disneyland is open all year round, even during the holidays. You probably won’t get bored at Disneyland – there are a lot of fun rides even for adults – it brings out the kids in us.

Getting to Disneyland is about $50-60 per day for admission. The tour bus that will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Anaheim is around $87. The Metro Station is across the street (Pershing Square), take that to Union Station, and more than likely take the Amtrak to Fullerton (You could also take the Metrolink, but it only runs weekdays, and during commuting hours). The train costs around $9 each way.

The 3 day passes are great or others are available. The Southern California pass is $199 or ($179 at Costco) which includes 3 day Disney, 1 day each at Universal Studios, Sea World and San Diego Zoo. Remember, California Adventure is NOT a part of Disneyland. You have to have a seperate ticket to get into that park.

Universal Studios is a working movie studio with an amusement park attached to it. Included in the price of admission is a tour of the ‘back lot’ of the studio. The tour takes you through various special effects and you learn about movie making. There are movie-themed rides as well.

Disneyland is more of a “fantasy place”. It’s designed to make you feel like you’ve left your troubles behind and entered “the happiest place on earth”. This place is relaxing and fun and more for kids.

The good rides in Disney’s CA Adventure include Bug’s Life, Soaring over CA, and California Screamin. They also had an Aladdin show at the time I went and that was sooo good! Each park costs about $40 each for a ticket. During non-peak season, Southern Califoria residents sometimes get a deal where you can get into 2 parks for the price of 1(meaning you can pay just $40 to get into both parks and it doesn’t have to be the same day). So if you know anyone who lives here, ask them to buy the tickets for you cause that’s a good deal.
