At the London Aquarium

Spending a day at the London Aquarium means to be a nice day out. London Aquarium – one of the largest aquariums in Europe, is a great place to visit during your trip to London.
Located in the County Hall the three levels of the complex collected a great variety of over 350 different world’s ocean’s species including eels, different kind of sharks, piranhas, jellyfish, clownfish, tangs, rays, other kind of fish… You can learn not only about the world’s oceans, but also tropical freshwater, seashores and beaches as well as coral reef recreation. You can also buy some souvenirs like tropical shells and shark jaws in the London Aquarium Gift Shop.

Aquarium has several Zones, separated by exhibits:

  • Pacific Ocean
  • Indian Ocean
  • Touch Pool
  • Coral Reef
  • Invertebrates
  • Tropical Freshwater

  • Rainforest
  • Robotics – with it’s robotic fish, that looks quite natural

Responses

The aquarium section was fantastic, we were more impressed with the displays there, than at London Aquarium or the Sealife Centre. The marine displays contained live rock and live coral, whereas they have painted plastic at the sealife centre, London Zoo doesnt have any big fish like sharks or the turtles, but they more than make up for it by having the real coral and rock…

There were a couple of species in the tanks that we couldnt see a label for, but everthing looked very healthy and shiny! they have obviously put a lot of effort in, which is evident all around the zoo.
