Hampton’s new entertainment district, the Power Plant of Hampton Roads, have visitors buzzing. Located within a leisurely drive, or an easy stroll, of many Hampton hotels, visitors to the Power Plant discover retail and restaurant names synonymous with fun. Anchor Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World opened last year to the delight of Virginia outdoor lovers. New additions Joe’s Crab Shack, Lone Star Steakhouse and Saloon and Johnny Carino’s Country Italian have also opened. Now additional establishments are scheduled to open in time to welcome visitors.
Situated along a scenic lakefront setting, the restaurants, clubs and shops will allow patrons to flow outside to decks complete with outdoor seating and music. McFadden Restaurant and Saloon, Parrot Beach and Fatburger and Saddle Ridge Restaurant with Rascal’s Comedy Club, join the entertaining mix. Starbuck’s Coffee Company will accompany Cold Stone Creamery at the main entrance of the boardwalk.
The Power Plant is located within walking distance of nearly 2,500 Hampton hotel rooms, including the Hampton Roads Convention Center and adjoining Embassy Suites Hotel.
