Visitors to the Virginia Air 6c Space Center embark оn aviation adventure that begins at the origin of flight and blasts into die future to the latest exciting NASA advances in space. A variety of hands-on, one-ofoh kind exhibits and simulators transform would-be aviators all ages into pilots for the day! Guests who want a taste of barnstorming antics “wing-walk on a recreated Curtiss Jenny and experience a fanciful flight through 100 years of aviation milestones. An AirTran Airways DC-9 invites visitors to step aboard and sit at the controls of a Boeing 717 Glass Cockpit Flight Simulator. Those who prefer to keep their virtual feet on the ground can try their hands at air traffic control and practice talking in АТС slang.
Visitors can ride in a World War II bomber with a 6-24 morion simulator, climb into the cockpit of an F/A-22, and challenge their flight skills with aptitude tests based on real Air Force exams. Air Power at Sea, an interactive 1:48 scale model of the UBS Reagan, a model of the USS Yorktown, and a N2S-3 Stearman aircraft, used to train early military pilots, highlight the important role of naval aviation.
